Recipe Time!
Ingredients:
3/4 Cup of your favorite cereal
Milk (2% or soy)
Supplies:
1 bowl
1 spoon (fork also an acceptable, but quirky substitute)
Steps:
1] Gather supplies and ingredients.
2] Pour cereal into (preferably clean) bowl.
3] Put away cereal container, leaving said container wide open.
4] Pour milk into cereal-filled bowl (specific amount subject to personal preference).
5] Lift spoon into air dramatically.
6] Scoop spoon into bowl and shovel contents of spoon into mouth.
7] Enjoy! (Note: At this point, you may consume cereal or allow it to sit in bowl and get soggy)
8] Put bowl in sink.
9] Return 30 minutes later. Put away milk.
10] Have stomachache and whine for 2 hours*
11] Go on internet and laugh because WebMD says you're lactose intolerant and you shouldn't be drinking milk anyway*
12] Repeat next morning.
*Skip steps 10-11 if using soymilk.

"One Puzzle Piece Too Many"
A week of dirt and millipedes
has opened my eyes
more than you ever could

this impossible jigsaw of my life
and now that I've taken a step back and reassessed
the things I've done

I realize the picture I was putting together
is not the same
as the cardboard cover and
I can't help but wonder
if maybe, just maybe,
you escaped from someone else's box
has opened my eyes
more than you ever could
because suddenly I understand
where I fit in

Now, for a Little Change...
Once again, my sad attempt to journal consistently has failed. However, the silver lining in my little raincloud is that I've returned to the traditional method of paper and pen. Therefore, I am going to devote this blog to the whims of the poet and novelist within me.
